Is this you trying to talk to someone on the phone?
Does this look like you when picking up the phone?
How do we get passed that jumbling crazy person that we can be on the phone?
Here are some easy steps that will help you get past that fear, get rid of those jitters and increase your confidence and transform yourself from a kitty cat TO A LION.
Here are Three Simple Steps to conquer fear of talking on the phone
Great, grab your phone and look at yourself, check you posture…you are a LION. Practice talking into the phone but instead of the typical hello, how are you? Throw some objections at yourself and thwart them while you’re not under pressure.
Step 2. Call someone you know.
What do you mean Steve? Well, this is actually a great technique. It doesn’t matter if they are in the same house or even who it is. Act like this is for real. So, actually dial a number, let it ring and start talking by introducing yourself and go from there. The reason I say let it ring, is because the panic you feel while the phone is ringing, is a real feeling. For me, it is an awesome feeling, I love the rush of “Are they going to answer or not” But for some, it’s not a good feeling. I will say, for me, it wasn’t a good feeling in the beginning but now, I look forward to it.
Step 3. Set up a call with your upline.
You heard me!!! Call them and let them know you are going to call them for a “Mock Call”. There isn’t an upline who wouldn’t oblige this request. They have heard all the objections already and will know how to help you through the objections. Tell them that you want them “Teach You” by objecting like a real prospect would.
TAKE NOTES from what they say and how they tell you how to handle objections and keep those notes handy. Heck, if your upline won’t do it for you, email me and we will set up a call. I will help you.
Something to keep in mind!!!!! Don’t wait to call a prospect while you are getting all of this down pat. Calling an actual prospect is still the best way to get over those phone fears. Every time you talk to someone you will get better and better. As well as creating a great story for your soon to be downline team.
Have an opinion? I would love to hear it, leave it at the bottom.
