What Is Mindset Training – Can It Work For Me?

What Is Mindset Training – How Does It Work
what is mindset training

You’re walking up to that person that you find attractive, maybe it’s in middle school, high school or out at a social engagement. By the time you get there, you’re sweating, breathing heavy and the voices are screaming “Turn around quick, run there’s still time”. What’s happening here? Those voices and feelings are designed to keep you safe. There’s nothing wrong with staying in the safe zone, unless you’re looking to gain something that most haven’t – Your Dream Life.

We’ve all had those times in our lives. Here’s the issue, there was a time when you had no fear. Tony Robbins states that we have two real fears…Falling and Loud noises.
In the example above, that isn’t a natural fear or hesitation. It typically comes from a place of unworthiness or lack of belief in one’s self AKA lack of confidence. Now, hang on a moment, this isn’t meant to beat anyone up. I have no right to judge, as I have come from the same place.
This is to bring awareness. We need to know what is mindset training and what is not. See below.

So many times, we look to take some sort of action and stop. I realize that’s a vague statement, hear me out. Typically what will stop the movement is an experience from the past. We might not remember that exact moment, however we remember the feeling. Our body remembers the feeling and we Make A Choice at that very moment to run and hide or stay and Fight For What for ourselves. This is no simple task, unless you know what mindset training is and how it can help.

First: Ego may cause resistance to mindset training. “I’m not broken” “I’m already good enough” “Everyone deals with that
In order to accept and receive we must first be ready to accept the fact that we can become greater each day. We all have room for improvement. Imagine having the confidence to walk up to anyone and have a conversation, in any circumstance or having the ability to shrink your comfort zone each day. Wouldn’t it be cool to pick up your phone and make that call you’ve been putting off?

Second: Ease your way into it. There are some that can jump right into the advanced stuff and that’s great. For me, I had to start with something a little more low key… The War of Art. I first needed to understand what resistance was. Honestly, I had resistance to mindset training.

What is mindset training and what it’s not. The hype type of event, does nothing except make you excited. Excitement will only last so long.
A great training will open your mind to a totally new and expanded way of thinking. It will bring about a new “What’s Possible” about you. It will let you know how your past does not predict your now and future. Your past is actually a product of your now. It’s how we evaluate situations and instances in time.
Sound kooky? I get that. It didn’t make sense to me either. I had understand why we react, why we love, why we fear and hate, why we hold onto to thoughts that don’t serve us and how we got here.

A tiny bit about me: I was a self destructive, mean, heart-broken, egotistical person that only cared about something if it directly affected me. Thank God for someone pointing me in a different direction. Up until that point, I was lonely. I took a look around one day and realized that I didn’t have any friends and had to admit to myself that maybe it’s me.

I can literally go on for days here. The point to the above, if I can realize greatness, so can you. When you realize that greatness is available, you’ll start seeing it in others. That’s when YOU make an Impact On The World.

Here are some recommended books and audios. By the way, I typically listen to them on Audible.
War of Art by Steven Pressfield
Awaken The Giant Within by Tony Robbins
The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

You are totally going to dig them. Appreciate you for being here with me.
For a moment, imagine what’s possible in your life. If you can’t see your future, create it. Get out a piece of paper and a pen/pencil and write out what you want your future to look like. It must be written to link your emotions to your Vision.
Understand that what you create is possible in your own mind. If it wasn’t you couldn’t think it for yourself.

Dig it? Comment about it below.

    Great article Steve!

I certainly resonate with the battle of the ego, and having to make some big changes in my life,
giving up old patterns and behaviors from my past so I could start to move forward here and in my future.

It has been quite the eye opening journey but certainly something that is worthwhile! I now know my journey will assist many others, as you do with yours.

    Love the open honesty!

Hmmm The Ego, It has a sneaky way of getting n the way of good thinks, we think we know it all or more than the other person, we think we can do better…so we dont even try…! Mindset is a really emotive subject and for most it isnt even on their radar because if all the things you said above Steve…We are s much more if we allow it! Thanks for sharing with me!
