The Best Network Marketing Strategy – From The Bible
About 7-8 years ago I was introduced to an opportunity to become wealthy beyond my belief in no time at all. I was pretty excited that I was in my early 30s and looking to retire in the next 3 months or so. I was over working and was ready to go fishing all the time LOL. I had a boat at my dad’s and could be in the Gulf of Mexico in 10 minutes. It was cool.
As for those that know me, I have been in sever network marketing companies before settling in at, what I feel to be the best network marketing business out there. I did not have the success that they told me about and sure didn’t make the money they said I would make.
Here’s what happened.
I was invited by my friend Nancy to come to lunch with her and her “Friend” to talk about this business venture. She was cool, so I went. When I get there, she was sitting in a nice dress with two older guys in suits. I was like “Who are these guys and are they rich too”. I was intimidated at first but strangely wanted to be them. They talked about all these people making money and how it easy is it, they hardly had to do anything. I WAS GOING TO BE RICH!
As I said in previous paragraphs, I didn’t do as well as they said I was. What they neglected to tell me was, I had to get out and work this. When people said no, it was part of the game. They told me about the riches but forgot to tell me about the working part. I didn’t know any better, I didn’t even know this industry was all about.
So what network marketing strategy are we going to get from The Bible?
If these gentlemen would have been honest with me from the start and told me the truth about building your own network marketing business, I would have joined anyway. If they would have shown me the way to making an empire, I would have joined anyway. If they would have listened to the way I was responding, they could have readjusted their conversation from pitch to teach because I was joining anyway.
I was in church a few weeks ago and the Pastor was talking about a person being Seasoned with Salt. It was a cool sermon about networking with people to spread God’s Word, instead of forcing in their face. One of the texts he read really hit home with me and what it means to be a decent person. If we treat people with respect and be honest with them from the get go, you will grow a huge organization and your retention rate will remain high. People will start gravitating towards you because the success you are having and bringing to your team but more importantly because you are building with integrity. We have the Ultimate Leader within ear’s shout away, we should try and be like Him.
That verse was Colossians 4:5-6 (NIV) 5. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
