That’s what we tell ourselves when we are looking in the cupboard. One more piece of chocolate and I will stop and hit the gym. Come on, we all know the truth. That piece of chocolate means 10-15 minutes on the treadmill. Crazy right?
This is a simple example of letting distractions get in our way. All through life, we procrastinate from time to time. Sometimes, it’s putting off cleaning the garage, mowing the lawn, cleaning the house, etc… It happens and it’s frustrating because deep inside we know that it has to be done anyway. In the example of the chocolate, not only did we have to do the task of working out anyway but we had to add 10-15 minutes on to the end. Big kick in the butt.
One of the things that those of us deal with in Network Marketing is putting off prospecting, writing articles, call leads and doing anything that will further our business. That to me, is THE BIGGEST reason people quit their company. It’s not that it is too hard, they just don’t do anything about it. They keep putting off what is going to make them money for their MLM time and time again. Here’s the thing, if you keep putting it off, you lose time. Not only are you not building your business but someone else could talking to your lead about their business or even someone IN YOUR BUSINESS. Wouldn’t that suck?
I want you to envision something for me. You are married and have 2 children. You take time out of your crazy day, say 2 hours a day for 4-5 days a week and work your business. You are consistent and don’t let that “One more piece of Chocolate” get in the way. You work your butt of for 2-3 years and you make it. You wake up one day and you hit your goal of financial freedom. You wake up on Monday morning and you don’t go back to work. You stay home with your family or go to the beach, maybe you go fishing or go to the playground. Maybe, just maybe, you get a wild hair up your butt and take the family to Disney World.
Don’t put off activities that will make you money. There will be lots of time for the REST OF YOUR LIFE when you MAKE IT TO THE TOP.
