For most of us, the 4th of July is an extra day off from work to hang out with friends and family. Go to the beach and maybe go our bar b que on. I remember back when I was a kid, with my parents cooking out with all their friends. It was a blast. Someone would always bring over some fireworks and the festivities would go through the night.
With the burgers, hotdogs, soda, beer, corn on the cob and fun, we sometimes forget what the 4th of July is. It’s a time to celebrate our new freedoms. I pulled the below from Military.Com
On July 4, 1776, the thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States. Each year on July 4th, also known as Independence Day, Americans celebrate this historic event.
