Most Network Marketers Make This Mistake – How to Avoid It

keep-calm-and-don-t-be-a-bad-personThere a levels of success, in network marketing that people will do anything to reach. You know what I’m talking about, taking short cuts, posting ads that may not be as honest as you would like, maybe even being a little deceitful. If you haven’t done one of these, I am sure that you know someone that fits this mold. Don’t look at me, I have no right to judge anyone of anything. I am just pointing out the obvious. Desperate people do desperate things, I get that…I really do.

Mistake – Company Bashing:
If you have been in the industry for any period of time, there is a chance that you have heard other network marketers talking some ‘smack’ about another company. This, unfortunately, is more common that I would like to see.
Here’s kind of how it goes… You are talking to another marketer and they ask you about your company. You tell them and they instantly tell you all the things wrong with your company, products and comp plan. It can be hurtful if you aren’t ready for it and might even give you doubt on what you are doing.
That’s the point of the comments. The bad thing about it, it can leave a bad taste in your mouth and it’s not very ethical.

We all want to enroll other marketers into our own team. Heck, it makes our lives easier… We don’t have to explain what to do from the the floor up, just give a little guidance and let them go at it.

So, how can you entice someone to look at what you are doing over what they are currently involved in?

It’s not that difficult, you just have to look at it from another point of view. The best advice I can give is to be present in the conversation. Talk to the person as a human being and find out how they are really doing with their journey. The deeper you dive into the conversation, the more likely the person will be honest with you. Once you are on a level of trust, you can inquire about the struggles they may be having. In fact, you can flat out ask. Something like “What do you think the biggest struggle is, that you run into in our industry”   You see, that IS a broad question but they will end up speaking about their current struggles.

As network marketers, we can fill this void. You can offer yourself and your business as a solution to their struggles. Obviously, this is assuming that you have a company with a system in place that a monkey can follow and that you have a general knowledge of marketing.
Earlier I mentioned that others bashing your company is a ploy to get you to look their opportunity. Don’t you think being a problem solver is a better avenue to take?
