Objection Handling – Those Things Don’t Work
It doesn’t matter what you have, someone is going to object to it. I remember back in high school, I purchased a 1987 IROC-Z (Identical the one in the image) and one of my best friends had a Mustang 5.0. We would go back and forth, Ford vs Chevy but we were buds so we never did a real race. However we bashed one another’s auto maker.
To be honest, I really didn’t know much about Ford. I was just a Chevy guy, it’s what I new and all my Chevy friends said Ford was no good.
Eventually, I purchased a Ford Explorer and realized that I was wrong. You see, I had based my opinion on something I didn’t know about. Once I was educated, things were different.
In our industry, we tend to react with emotion when we receive an objection and I get why…our company is our baby.
