There are many people that would like more in their lives, however money seems to hold many back. To increase cash flow, there are a couple things that pop up in mind. Get a second job, lower monthly expenses, sell stuff from around the house or look into a home business. What I typically here is, I don’t have time for a home business.
What that typically means is, I don’t think I can do it. I get it, time a one commodity that we cannot get back. That can either paralyze you are energize you into action. Since time is such a limited asset in our lives, we need to do as much as we can to free up what we have, even if it’s future time. If you don’t have 5-8 hours per week to work on something that could free you, that’s a real problem.
- Use Time Wisely
Most people have commutes daily, to and from work, grocery stores, getting the kids from school and general errands. As much as I like to zone out while driving, this is a great time to listen to mindset and educational audios AND make those phone calls. In addition, as you’re sitting in line to get the kids from school or sitting in the waiting room of the doctor’s office, you can do the time consuming activities like paying your bills, answering emails, shooting out text messages, etc… We inadvertently waste a lot of time throughout the day. You can add hours to your day and your productivity. I know people that built his entire business in his car, during the commute to and from work. He had a clear vision of what he wanted for him and his family.
- Use The Word “No”
As a people pleaser myself, it can be difficult to tell someone no. A simple phone call can last 30-40 minutes and while it might be a great call, it’s time that could be used building your business. Social engagements are another time consumer, they are fun and you might be seen as anti-social for a while but, wouldn’t it be cool to start having parties of your own? Possibilities as you become more successful. Remember your goal here is to start making decisions where, time and money are no longer the deciding factors.
We have things we need to do. Most people will put off their “To Do List” until the weekend and spend the entire day running all over the place. While this might seem like a great thing to do, it wrecks the rest of the week. Think about this. You spend all day Saturday, running errands and missing cool family time. You supplement that missed time throughout the week, eating into business time. Instead, split errands up through the week, leaving your weekends a little more free. Don’t forget tip #1…This is going to give you more time in the car for other activities.
- Give To Someone Else
One of the coolest things to do is to outsource. I get money might be tight but so is time. You have to start thinking in the grand scheme of things. Would it be worth paying someone $150 every other week to come and clean the house while you get down to business? While this might cause anxiety, this means you have to get to work! You can easily make and extra $75 per week with a home business, you just have to focus.
The same thing goes with the technical aspect of your business. Odesk.com and Fiverr.com are my friends and they can be yours too. Let someone get your techy tasks done for you, freeing up time for your money producing activities. They will most likely be finished quicker.
- Peak Hours Of Your Day
You know the times of the day the you’re most productive. I know that 1:00-3:00pm, I’m pretty useless when it comes to my creativity. Morning, late afternoon and night I’m full of it. It’s best for me to write, directly after my morning mindset. Mid-afternoon, is best for me to make phone calls and later afternoon and night I’m best with live events such as Facebook Live and Webinars. Choose when you are at different “States” at different times of the day and you’ll rule it, instead of having your day rule you.
Bonus Tip #1:
There are a lot of webinars and Facebook Lives going on right now. Limit yourself to the trainings that directly affect what you’re currently working on.
Bonus Tip #2: Shut down whatever you’re not working on at the moment. Email, phone, social media, the door the your office…Eliminate distractions and you’ll be shocked at what you can achieve.
