3 MLM-Tips That Will Guarantee to Pull Your Business Out From The Doldrums
I was talking to a new friend the other day about network marketing. We went back and forth quite a bit about each other’s level of success and what we did, how we did it and what was/wasn’t working. It was very interesting. I have been in network marketing for quite some time now and can sense when someone is holding back the entire truth. I asked (for the second time) how she was doing in her business. This time, she replied that she wished she could get more prospects. AHHA, now we are getting somewhere. I responded with – “What are you doing now?” You can just guess that she wasn’t talking to many people.
Before I get into these MLM-Tips, let’s talk about the truth. The truth about network marketers. There is a mantra that goes along with our industry… are you ready? It’s positive thinking. You ask a network marketer how they are doing and most likely you will hear “I’m doing great, how are you?” It’s just the way we are. It’s a mindset that goes along with the breed. So, whether that marketer is making $100 a month of $10,000 a month, everything is sunshine and rainbows. It’s difficult to get us/them to admit when something is not as it should be. THAT’s one of the big reasons I love this industry. With all the negative we deal with on a day to day basis, I get to hang out with really awesome people.
Okay, on to MLM-Tip #1:
This should be #1 and the only 1. If you ask me how to sign up more people and I respond with “How many people, how many people did you talk to this week” What would be your answer? I think the answer to my question is the answer to yours. Any top income earner started out just like you, warm market and no leads. You need to talk to people. I heard, at a recent event, that the stats are 1 in 30 people that you talk to will join your business. If you talk to one person a day, then you get one a month and the rest is just math. Is this rule true all the time, no, of course not. Is it a good rule to follow, yes. When you have a new member, share it. This will create momentum for you and your team.
Be consistent. There are sooo many people that go to an event, webinar or even a phone call and get all fires up. Then after a few days, they fizzle out. Have a plan of attack that you can follow each day and mark it off as each day goes by. I would suggest to put in an excel worksheet or just write down every day, take notes for you “Money Producing activities
Physically write your goals, dreams and aspirations. This will keep you focused on your business, and that will reflect when talking to a prospect. Keeping your eyes on the prize is some serious motivation. Remembering why you got into this industry in the first place will keep that fire glowing.
Talk to 5-10 people a day about what you have to offer. That equals 150 a month min. and almost 2,000 people a year. Your team will grow.
Consistency is key. Get with a mastermind partner if you have to. An accountability partner.
Write down your goals, dreams and aspirations. These are the reasons why you are doing what you are doing in the first place. In your face is a happy place.
Bonus Tip: Talk to MORE people. There are literally hundreds of millions of people on Facebook.
